Division Overview:

The Video Operations and Streaming team is responsible for supporting the video delivery and architecture of VOD and Live content streamed on over 15 platforms for CBS All Access / Paramount+. Our team is also responsible for the encoding and delivery of premium content to millions of users every day!

Role Details:
Our team at ViacomCBS is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager who is hardworking and knowledgeable about digital video to oversee a wide range of video related initiatives, with focus on content procurement and quality assurance of transcoded files. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, results-oriented with a keen attention to detail.

Your Day-to-Day:
• Analyze video performance across mobile and OTT services
• Provide insight to improve overall video quality based on data based metrics
• Coordinate tasks with Quality Assurance and Publishing teams to resolve issues found in automated testing solutions
• Lead and improve ''eyes-on-glass'' dashboards related to video service and delivery
• Contribute to the design and development of video distribution and infrastructure, including integration into ViacomCBS websites, mobile websites, mobile and emerging platform applications
• Ability to operate independently, balance multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a results-oriented environment
• Additional other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

What you bring to the team:

You have -
• Experience with delivery of video content outside domestic USA
• Knowledge of streaming services and related vendors (ie. CDN's, Encoding Hardware, DRM, etc.)
• Strong technical skills - a problem solver with a passion for developing solutions and processes to address complex problems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Intermediate Python (or similar language) skill set
• BS degree and/or equivalent experience

You might also have -
• Understanding of broadcast signal chains
• Agile / Scrum Certified
• Experience working with the Platform MPX, Conviva, Thousand Eyes, Elasticsearch, NewRelic or similar toolsets
