This developer role requires front-end development skills in addition to coordinating with client and site engineers to bring dynamic interactive experiences to life. You will leverage multiple ad platforms, APIs and site capabilities to be a core player in the overall process of bringing ad campaigns to life across all devices and operating systems. Delivering engaging and responsive experiences across web, mobile, and social channels is what inspires you.

The Sr Frontend Developer will work with the product development team, in a fun and fast-paced sports-centric agile environment. As a Sr Frontend Developer, you will be responsible for making recommendations to improve the user experience of those visiting ViacomCBS properties.

Your Day-to-Day:
• Collaborate with team members to build pixel perfect interactive features
• Work with ad serving vendors such as Double Click, Clipcentric, and Celtra
• Integrate with backend developers and APIs to build new features
• Design front-end architecture and processes
• Bring experiences to life across various social channels using tools such as SparkAR
• Create custom web-pages to tell unique stories in compelling ways
• Work in a fast paced AGILE environment
• Improve the overall quality, performance, and stability of the frontend, including the build process
• Make new technology recommendations based on research and knowledge

Key Projects:
• Design new ad-products at scale for diverse clients and websites
• Maintaining and upgrading ad serving features supporting revenue projects
• Create and maintain ways to showcase the amazing work of the ViacomCBSi Integrated Marketing team. This includes pre-sale pitches, emails, and showcase pages.

QUALIFICATIONS:

What you bring to the team:

You have -
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
• 2+ years of professional experience, with a broad range of skills and experience in web application development
• Have a strong sense for design and solving problems visually
• Created fully responsive and optimized advertising executions across all devices
• Strong understanding of vanilla JavaScript
• Understanding of jQuery, React and EMCAScript and their architecture concepts
• Know the latest HTML and CSS standards inside and out
• Strong initiative and the ability for creative thinking for ad development with the ability to work in a collaborative, innovative, agile and team-oriented environment
• Ability to juggle many projects in different stages
• Constantly learning and experimenting with emerging technologies
• Always thinking ahead to adapt designs into functional experiences on all platforms

You might also have -
• Understanding of Object Oriented Programming and Design
• Experience integrating data from various back-end services and databases
• Experience with 3D/AR platforms like Unity and SparkAR
• You know CSS preprocessors or frameworks (SASS, Bootstrap, etc). Maybe you've even built your own toolkit that sits on top of your preprocessor of choice
• Animation experience using JavaScript and CSS
• Proficient in After Effects
• Familiar with Node.JS and Express
• You've worked in an AWS, GPC, or Azure environment before
• You are familiar with CDNs such as Akamai or Fastly
• Experience with SEO and frontend performance
• You love sports, video games, movies and TV
