Role Details:

The year ahead for ViacomCBS is an exciting one. Our new broad pay streaming product will expand CBS All Access by adding the company's scaled assets in film and TV, including world-renowned brands, and reaffirm and expand the value of entertainment, news and sports - through on-demand and live experiences - for audiences around the world. To help us navigate this rapid expansion, the CBS All Access Creative Marketing team is actively seeking a Director of Operations and Planning to work cross-functionally with internal teams, partners, and agencies to drive alignment around business and finance operations as well as the onboarding and payment process of vendors, production partners and freelance staff. Possessing an operations and finance background, this person will partner with team leaders across the marketing, creative and finance organization to plan, report on, and reconcile multiple project budgets. We are looking for a quality individual who has solid experience streamlining workstreams and bringing highly-complex projects in on budget. It is important that this individual takes initiative, enjoys digital product development in a supportive team environment and wants to have fun.

Your Day-to-Day:
• Optimize and unify finance workflows across functions to ensure successful implementation of payment procedures and operations
• Partner with Project Management, Finance and Marketing to initiate, build and oversee Creative campaign budgets, including physical production shoot costs as well as design and motion graphics production costs
• Spearhead cross-department monthly reporting meetings to assess PO's, reclassification activities and overall tracking of projects to budget
• Collaborate with department leadership and Marketing to build and regularly update reports that provide insight and recommendations around expenditures across shows and initiatives
• Lead vendor and freelance onboarding and payment processes
• Oversee Travel and Expense reconciliations for project and production expenses
• Establish uniformed rate cards across creative and production

Key Projects:
• Streamline finance workflows between Project Management, Marketing, vendors and production partnerships
• Lead onboarding and contract process by partnering with Business and Legal Affairs to draft contracts ensuring all deal points and payment terms are accurate
• Ensure regular use of newly implemented internal payment processes and systems


What you bring to the team:

You have -
• Significant experience working in production management/digital marketing/creative agency and/or professional services/consulting
• Knowledge of SAG / AFTRA guidelines pertaining to promo and commercial shoots
• Understanding of labor laws and regulations
• Proven history leading complex projects with tight deadlines and multiple dependencies
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with multiple partners at all levels of a corporate organization
• Adaptable and able to change gears quickly and nimbly when changes happen to process and projects through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Able to foresee potential risks or communication conflicts and / or gaps and proactively work to mitigate challenges
• Superb verbal and written communication skills to relay information simply and clearly to creative marketing and cross-functional departments
• Ability to see the big picture while also focusing on the details
• Calm, balanced, level-headed, and collaborative in nature

You might also have -
• Extensive experience with SAP / SAP Ariba software
• Television production and / or production finance experience
