Overview and Responsibilities
CBS Sports Digital -- a portfolio of premium digital sports media properties including CBSSports.com, CBS Sports HQ, 247Sports, MaxPreps and SportsLine -- is consistently ranked a top-three sports property, reaching more than 70M sports fans monthly across desktop, mobile, and connected TV devices. Our team is a diverse and agile group that effectively collaborates with the business to shape our department.
The Associate Producer is a self-starter who supports the shows with regards to video and graphics, while taking direction from producers and senior producers. Primary responsibilities include providing guidance over the production assistants in all aspects of production from supervising b-roll & game highlights to creating and coordinating graphical elements.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assist the Highlight Supervisor in approving all highlights cut on a nightly basis
• Build & fire live studio graphics with Ross XPression
• Segment produce shows, podcasts & segments as requested by the Coordinating Producer
• Exercise editorial judgment in selection of content
• Apply knowledge of Inception in building rundowns, formatting and producing shows from control rooms
• Communicate regularly with studio producers and other production contributors to discuss developing news and provide guidance on the presentation of that news within our programming
Basic Qualifications
• A minimum of 2-5 years of work experience in broadcast and digital, producing segments
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere & Ross XPression
Additional Qualifications
• Experience in a control room
• Adept in building a rundown to anticipate the needs of the stream with regards to video, graphics, scripts and other elements
• Ability to handle many projects simultaneously, keeping up in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, while maintaining a positive attitude
• Time management skills
• Available to work all shifts, including early mornings, weekends, overnights, and holidays
• Superior knowledge of major & minor sport leagues & teams!
