The Job
WarnerMedia seeks a Finance Manager to support the Kids, Young Adult, & Classics division.
Responsible for overseeing budgeting, forecasting and management reporting for Kids, Young Adults and Classics division with focus on Cartoon Network Studios (CNS) and HBO Max Production support. Partner closely with operations teams to manage all aspects of corporate finance for related areas.
The Daily
• Managing CNS production cashflow forecast and budget reporting
• Managing CNS P&L and development forecast, budget, and long-range plan
• Managing HBO Max production cashflow reporting
• Partnering with Production and Programming for greenlight preparation
• Managing the capital budget by partnering with Operations
• Evaluating records of past, present, and future financial performance to assist in analyzing forecasts and developing budgets and long-range plans
• Working on ad hoc projects for Senior Management
• Managing and supporting preparation of accurate, timely and relevant financial reporting, planning and analysis
• Facilitating departmental financial meetings with various levels of management to present timely and relevant information
• Working directly with the Accounting team during month-end close
• Partnering with Legal and Business Affairs, Development and Production Finance for forecast decision making
• Generating complex reports on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis using various applications (Excel, PeopleSoft, Hyperion, Ariba, Global Vista)
• Managing various reporting requirements to studios and internal clients
• Working closely with the Producers and other production teams
The Essentials
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or media related field
• People managing experience preferred
• Media, Network or Studios experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of entertainment industry and Studios operations
• On hands experience in Financial Systems and technical experience
• Demonstrate strong analytical and modeling skills
• Knowledgeable in Corporate & Production Finance/Accounting
• BA/BS in Finance or Accounting or related field preferred
• Ability to build clear, succinct, and effective presentations
• Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication
• Work under minimal supervision
• Exhibit strong attention to detail, executive presence, and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Positive outlook
