Master Control Operator

Job Description

Company has part-time (32 hours per week) master control operator position. Shifts include a Sunday shift and a Monday shift from 11pm-7am. The individual will be responsible for various day-to-day operations in a multi-network affiliate TV station master control room, including:

· The set-up and insertion of commercials for on-air broadcast using a PC-based automation system to transfer between local breaks, local/syndicated programming and network

· Digitizing programs

· Maintenance of operation logs

· Overseeing network feeds

· Reviewing syndicated feeds prior to broadcast

· Trouble shooting any technical problems for immediate and effective resolution

· Perform other duties as directed by management

Previous master control experience is a plus. We seek individuals who are dependable, reliable, organized and able to work various shifts, including overnight shifts. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

· Familiarity with computers required (MS Office/Excel)

· Accuracy and attention to detail are essential

· Ability to work independently and be a self-starter

· Ability to perform under strict deadlines and time constraints

· Excellent learning skills

· Reliable transportation is a must
