Director, IP Development & Initiatives, Cadence13 (NY or LA)
Overview

The role is an opportunity to help lead and develop creative, business and financial strategies around the C13Originals and C13Features IP, directly reporting to the Chief Content Officer of Cadence13. The primary responsibilities of the Director of IP Development and Initiatives for Cadence13 will be to help lead and develop the creative, business and financial strategy around C13 related IP and derivatives. This includes, but isn't limited to, developing strategy around IP extensions, both scripted and non-scripted, casting, working closely with talent agencies, studios and distribution outlets on derivative, optioning and licensing deals, and more.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
• Manage, support and strategize all creative, business and financial aspects of C13 related IP and derivatives
• Responsible for helping to develop a strategic financial model around the IP and derivatives within the C13Originals and C13Features studio divisions
• Help support and lead creative, business and financial strategy and decisions around casting and development, in both audio and non-audio versions of C13Originals and C13Features
• Work on licensing and distribution deals within audio and non-audio related fields
• Work closely with Hollywood studios and talent agencies on the coordination of both creative and financial development, schedules and terms from both scripted and non-scripted projects stemming from C13 IP
• Work closely with the creators of each project on the creative development, and working in parallel for opportunities within the derivative space, always working well ahead of any launches
• Reporting directly into the Chief Content Officer of Cadence13

Qualifications

About You:

Required:
• Bachelor Degree, MBA a plus
• Candidate should have a clear strategic vision for the future of the podcast business as it relates to developing IP in non-audio markets, with the ability to strategically develop, evolve and execute financial models to create new revenue extensions for the company around our IP
• Excellent communication, organization, negotiation, creative instincts and financial skills
• 5+ years-experience in talent negotiations, IP development and business affairs from a creative standpoint
• NYC area based
