The Role

BuzzFeed is seeking an experienced Supervising Producer to oversee production for a new talent development unit. The role will report to an executive producer, and supervise workflow and output of a team of producers. You'll collaborate with the producers as they develop and execute new content and concepts built around BuzzFeed talent. You will partner with teams across BuzzFeed to ensure the creative quality and output expectations for the team are met. An ideal candidate will have development experience, and a passion for making shareable content.

You Will
• Manage a team of development producers, overseeing workflow, managing timelines, approving cuts, handling workloads/assignments
• Provide creative feedback and notes to producers on concepts/scripts/cuts
• Oversee in-studio shoots
• Provide support and creative input to ensure ongoing quality and audience growth
• Work with various teams to help support the producers on the team
• Create space for brainstorming sessions
• Oversee multiple ongoing projects and find creative ways to remove roadblocks
• Maintain regular communication with Executive Producer and other teams to coordinate timely delivery
• Work with Production and Post to oversee all projects from pre-production to package

You Have
• At least 5 years experience in web/digital content creation, at least 2 of which should be in a management role.
• Outstanding organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work creatively in a high-pressure environment
• A deep understanding of the fundamentals of the pre-production to post workflow
• Knowledge of industry trends
• A drive to bring passion and creativity to your work
• Experience specifically in content development is a bonus
