The Job
The Talent Buyer is responsible for curating and booking talent for Burial Beer Co live entertainment at its music venue, Eulogy, and its outdoor stages at other locations. Eulogy is a nightly gathering space in Asheville's South Slope area that offers a uniquely immersive experience through the perpetual curation of art, light, and sound. This role involves collaboration with Burial's Brand and Retail departments to shape and deliver successful and positive guest and talent experiences. The Talent Buyer role requires excellent communication, coordination, and financial management skills, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
What You’ll Do

Secures talent for Eulogy's live programming throughout the year, in accordance with the Company's value and vision for the space

Secures talent for Burial Beer Co's live programming at taprooms and outdoor stages, throughout the year, in accordance with the Company's value and vision for specified programming concepts

Recommends and facilitates strategic product collaborations between talent and Burial Beer Co.

Collaborates with outside promoters to evaluate and secure room rentals.

Communicates venue needs and operations to clients and promoters, coordinating event requirements, staffing, rates, equipment, and schedules.

Collaborates with Eulogy's Venue Manager on calendar booking, programming goals, and other strategic objectives

Ensures smooth concert/event operations

Ensures compliance with safety and facility procedures

Collaborates with Brand and Retail departments in planning and scheduling concert and festival events.

Prepares cost estimates, bids, and event settlements, maintaining records and collecting statistical data.

Works within applicable budgets, monitoring venue revenue and expense performances for strategic development

Handles feedback and complaints, and works to resolve issues with talent, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Serves as a liaison between venue and talent

Fosters clear and effective communication and collaboration across departments
Who We’re Looking For

Proven experience in talent buying, event coordination, or a similar role
-
Strong negotiation and contract management skills

Detail oriented
-
Excellent communication, coordination, and overall interpersonal skills

Strong financial management skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Knowledge of safety, fire, and health regulations related to event setup and operations

Proficiency in Google Suite and general computer skills
Physical Requirements

Flexibility to work various hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.

Capability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.

Comfortable working in environments with moderate to high noise levels.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
