We are looking for an UE4 Environment artist who has a passion for creating natural landscapes (Forests, Deserts, Tundra's, Beaches, etc). If you are a wizard with Natural Environment Landscapes in UE4, we want to hear from you!
Requirements:
Role & Responsibilities
• Cover a wide range of styles from stylistic to photorealistic
• Shader and texture development will be based heavily on reference artwork, paint overs and look development from the Art Department
• Create photoreal environment landscapes
• Sculpt terrain, blend in pathways, and integrate vegetation and trees
• Maintain quality and continuity while developing shaders that support art direction
• Be mindful of Real Time performance benchmarks
• Harness tools and technology expertise to ensure all resources are being used most effectively
• Ensure efficiency on all ends by linking performance, consistency, and workflow
• Work effectively and efficiently to meet tight deadlines
Qualifications
• 2 + years of experience using Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Z-Brush, Mudbox or equivalent
• 1+ years of shader development for Unreal or unity
• Comfortable with Speed Tree and creating a variety of trees and vegetation
• Well versed in integrating Quixel assets and setting up LOD's
• Understanding of UV's and texture Layout
• Experience with developing and compiling shaders within Unreal
• Understanding of lighting, particle systems, post-processes, material setup and general workflows inside Unreal Engine
• Experience with writing scripting languages is an asset
