UE4 Technical Director

Job Description

We are seeking a UE4 TD to join our team!

Requirements:

Role & Responsibilities
• Analyze performance and profiling data with programmers; brainstorm and implement
optimizations
• Utilize tools and technology expertise to ensure all resources are being used most effectively
• Ensure efficiency on all ends by linking performance, consistency, and workflow
• Troubleshoot a variety of issues, challenges and technical restraints
• Work effectively and efficiently to create high-quality experiences within tight timelines
• Support the project teams with the technical implementation in Unreal and exporting assets from Maya to Unreal
• Help coordinate the pipeline from the artists through to deployment
• Optimize content with the help of diagnostic tools and instructing the artists on modelling and texturing best practices
• Collaborate with project teams to develop and test new features, prototype shader code, and provide useful feedback
• Complete character model checks to meet project requirements
• Complete character surfacing checks to meet project requirements
• Provide support for the characters department through all phases from modeling through to grooming

Qualifications
• Experience with Unreal
• Knowledge
of developing tools for DCC packages for Maya, Houdini. etc
• Strong understanding of Python API
• Knowledge
of Real Time Virtual Camera
• Familiarity with Shotgun(now Shotgrid)
• Experience with feature films and/or games production with good understanding of Unreal based CG workflows
• Knowledge
of C++ and blueprinting is a bonus
