We are currently seeking an accomplished Paralegal to support the busy and dynamic Business & Legal Affairs department of UMG's merchandising division. The ideal candidate easily wears multiple hats, and is detail-oriented, energetic, and highly organized. We are seeking an ambitious, quick learner who loves building relationships and can grasp 'the big picture' behind any project. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, great organizational skills, and the ability to meet critical deadlines while calmly juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A high level of personal integrity, discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with executives inside and outside the company is essential. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, creative, adaptable, have solid experience in effectively supporting an executive team within a corporate Business & Legal Affairs environment, and have an innate love of music and the creative arts.

How you'll CREATE:
• Assist supervisor and legal team with administrative duties
• Prepare first drafts of contracts and documents from existing templates
• Review third party comments on such contracts and documents for supervisor signoff
• Prepare said documents for signature – once signed, save and process in accordance with department protocol
• Keep track of status updates in existing tracking systems (Monday.com, internal spreadsheets)
• Data entry, file organization, DocuSign
• Provide reporting and updates to legal team from existing tracking systems

Bring your VIBE:
• 4-year college degree
• At least two years proven work experience as a Paralegal, Contract Administrator, Contract Manager, or Administrator
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exhibit a professional demeanor and good judgment
• Follow up on assignments until completion
• Self-starter who takes initiative and is resourceful; takes ownership of tasks and projects
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to interact with outside attorneys and executive management
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments; work well under pressure
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
• Extremely detail-oriented, with an ability to spot errors
• Familiarity with Apple computers and software, mastery of Microsoft suite, DocuSign, and Preview/Adobe, Monday.com
• Solid research, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Organizes own work, coordinating projects, setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and following up on assignments with a minimum of direction
• Dedicated team player
• Knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts
• Familiarity with copyright and trademark laws
• Familiarity with brand licensing and royalty accounting procedures
• Music industry knowledge
• Paralegal certificate a plus
• Software for consumer product licensing (DRM, MediaBox, etc.)
