Assistant Technical Director

Job Description

BlueBolt is looking for an Assistant Technical Director to join its talented team.The successful candidates will be given the opportunity to gain the skills to further develop their career in this industry.

Responsibilities:

• Providing first line support for application & hardware issues
• Troubleshooting rendering issues and managing render resources
• Helping to roll-out new tools by testing and writing user documentation
• Managing technical services & completing technical tasks schedule
• Supporting the maintenance of technical infrastructure
• Helping the tech team on larger devops projects, as well as taking the lead on smaller projects
• Configuring publishing systems for new shows, as well as running colour & framing loop tests
• Internal testing of 3rd party and internal tools.

Experience and Skills - Required:

• Experience working in a tech support role
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to communicate effectively with non-technical people
• Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
• Professional working attitude
• The ability to work autonomously and within a team
• Taking ownership of challenges through to resolution
• Working well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good time management and priority handling skills.

Experience and Skills - Nice To Have:

• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Experience with creative applications such as Maya, Houdini or Nuke
• Knowledge of Linux/OSX
• Python scripting experience.
