OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Analyst will report to the Vice President of BET Ad Sales Research. The ideal candidate is a team player that will be responsible for analyzing television, digital, social and syndicated data in order to effectively position BET in the advertising marketplace.

Responsibilities:
- Work on projects assigned by research VP, Directors and Managers
- Collect, analyze and interpret Nielsen data and other TV, digital and social consumer tracking sources for clients and recurring ad hoc requests
- Position research data in a creative and concise manner
- Create custom PowerPoint presentations and one-sheets using a variety of resources
- Handle regular weekly and quarterly channel performance reports and competitive analyses
- Attend weekly meetings

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree
- Attention to detail, organized and motivated to learn
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint (any macro experience is a plus)
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
- Interest in television and media
- Works well within a group and individually

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 year of national Ad Sales Research experience (internships acceptable)
- Any knowledge of Nielsen systems and media math/media terms a plus
- Media research experience
