Job Description

Overview and Responsibilities

This role will be a key member of the Audience Analytics team with an expertise in digital research, supporting Ad Sales. The position will be responsible for a portfolio of media platforms (including linear TV, video, VOD, social media, etc.) using primary and syndicated research tools/methods. This position will also support measurement functions and competitive reporting as they pertain to BET as whole. The ideal candidate will be seasoned in digital, emerging platform and convergent research and possess strong strategic and analytical skills.

Specific Responsibilities
• Analyze both digital and linear research
• Handle ad-hoc Ad Sales requests supplying applicable and useful data
• Build quarterly, monthly and category reports
• Must have a proven understanding of the digital media landscape including multi-platform viewing, advertising formats, consumer behavior and advertising receptivity

Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 2+ years of digital media research/analytics experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Strong ComScore and Adobe Analytics/Omniture experience
• Strong knowledge of the digital industry and ability to ''tell a story'' with data
• Must be proficient in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups) and PowerPoint
• Proven presentation skills

Additional Qualifications
• Experience positioning data for Ad Sales teams and clients highly preferred
• Familiarity with on-air measurement tools and media landscape
• Self-starter and highly proactive with an ability to manage goals, inform and provide insights and recommendations to a larger internal team
• Ability to efficiently work in a group or independently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with syndicated research sources (comScore, Nielsen, @Plan, YouGov etc.)
• Experience in working with demo guarantee tools such as Nielsen DAR
• Expertise with social media analytics (Facebook Insights, YouTube Analytics, Tubular, etc.)
• Experience working with cross-platform research including VOD and OTT/Advanced Television platforms
• Tableau experience a plus
