Bally Sports Southwest Team is currently seeking a Production Operations Manager to join the Irving, TX based production team to manage all production operations for the studio. Reporting to the Director, Operations, the Production Operations Manager will manage the scheduling of personnel (crew), providing training and technical oversight. In this role, you must understand the basic concepts of TV production and how the workflow between studio and remote production functions and manages the studio operation to ensure proper execution of all studio productions. Recruiting and training personnel are vital responsibilities of the role to continue to maintain a strong studio production team. Thus, developing relationships with local universities to attract talent, and developing personnel to retain them, are key.

The Game Plan:
(What you'll do)
• Collaborate with Crewing Manager to schedule appropriate personnel for studio productions.
• Code and pay invoices, and approve XLT personnel payroll, for studio productions.
• Visit local colleges and universities to recruit prospective graduates who are interested in working in television.
• Train new freelancers on equipment or positions.
• Prepare monthly reports.
• Participate in development of department policies and procedures.
• Occasional work with remote production crew may be needed, with some travel.

The Stats:
(What to bring)
• 5+ years' experience in live event production, studio production and technical operations preferred.
• Knowledge of live television production environments, and familiarity with studio facilities.
• Strong organizational, time management and project management skills.
• The ability to work under pressure independently.
• Good interpersonal skills and a proven ability to lead and manage a team.
• The ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours is necessary, including nights and weekends.
• A general understanding of switcher function, audio boards, EVS and VIZ are strongly preferred.
• Occasionally required to bend and lift up to 30 pounds, when transporting equipment.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must be willing to travel and attend live sporting events.
• Knowledge of and passion for NBA basketball, NHL hockey & Major League Baseball.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
