Job Description
Bally Sports Detroit is seeking a Manager of Social Media to execute the overall social strategy for the network. The Manager of Social Media will work closely with all network departments including Ad Sales, Digital, Production, and Programming to serve as ''the social voice'' to help promote the network, our team partners, community initiatives and clients throughout Michigan. As such, candidate must be an exceptional project manager with attention to detail, highly organized, and a strong communicator.

The right candidate will be a self-starter who is willing and able to roll up his/her sleeves and accomplish tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, this candidate will have a pulse on team partners and the sports industry as a whole, a voracious curiosity, and a desire to continuously elevate our brand to make certain we at the forefront of the social space.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day strategy and execution of Bally Sports Detroit messaging on social media platforms
• Manage team of 3-6 individuals to help accomplish department goals
• Create social content promoting the network and its team, community and ad sales initiatives
• Execute daily ad sales content that exists in sponsorship packages/complete monthly reports for ROI
• Create new social properties that will generate revenue for the Ad Sales department
• Purchase/execute any social media/sponsor monetization opportunities
• Attend the daily ''bullpen'' call with department heads that will determine promotion for upcoming games
• Act as the liaison with pro team counterparts to integrate social strategies when possible
• Work with Digital team lead to establish email to consumer marketing campaigns
• Attend on site activations as needed to curate social content
• Stay up to date on the newest trends in social media
• Seek out conferences/seminars/on line courses that will continue to keep the network on the forefront of social media
• Supervise incoming email ''Help/Comments'' messaging from viewers and create response program
• Coordination of award entry submissions for the network

Requirements and Qualifications:
• 7+ years of proven success in social media/digital marketing/promotions
• Knowledge of the Detroit/Michigan sports landscape
• Comprehension of monetization practices for social media
• Knowledge of basic social media/digital media buying practices
• Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with expert and lay audiences
• Additional Knowledge of the workings of media/publications, content management, email marketing and web-based communications, and traditional media
• Ability to delegate to and manage a team of individuals
• Ability to thrive in fast paced environment
• Maturity and responsibility to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Able and willing to take on special projects and assume new responsibilities
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Ability to contribute to planning and strategic thinking
• Ability to travel when needed
• Ability to work nights and weekends

Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Basic design capabilities within the Adobe suite of products
• Basic video editing skills
