Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
• Responsible for producing all on-air transitions, which includes running the broadcast board, following station format, arranging and playing commercials and IDs according to the program and commercial logs, and following applicable laws and FCC regulations.
• Coordinate remote shows and handle listener contests and phone calls.
• This position is a critical role in the on-air execution of the station.
• Manage daily expectations of on-air hosts and programming strategy
• Generate topics that drive conversations and listenership
• Create local buzz
• Build the show's social brand
• Set an example for your peers
• Exceed traditional expectations

Qualifications

Required:
• Strong communication and management skills
• Deep understanding of the Bay Area sports and sports radio landscape
• Passion and ability to book big-name guests
• Strong understanding of social media 'best practices'
• Technically savvy
• Well organized and able to multitask
• Great attitude
• Ability to handle pressure situations in a mature manner

Preferred:
• 4-year degree
• 3-5 years of sports radio or sports media experience
• Experience with Wide Orbit and Audition
• Working knowledge of digital audio recording and editing equipment
