Overview

Audacy, a leading multi-platform audio content and entertainment company that reaches over 200M people each month, is seeking a SVP/Head of Digital Operations.

Reporting to Audacy's Chief Digital Officer, and working cross-functionally with the head of digital sales and each business line and product leader, the Head of Digital Operations will be ultimately responsible for ensuring successful achievement of Audacy's quarterly digital operating plan. Focusing primarily on Audacy's Digital Audio Business (streaming and podcast), and Direct to Consumer Subscription and Affiliate Commerce Businesses, the position will coordinate across all functional leaders from Product and Content, to Marketing, Aud Dev and Customer Acquisition, to Sales, Planning, Campaign Management, Ad Ops, B.I. and Finance, to ensure efficient growth and maximization of all ad-supported supply (audio, video, display, etc.) along with successful subscriber acquisition and retention efforts.

Success for this position is regularly exceeding quarterly topline and profitability targets across the digital and podcast portfolio. The Head of Digital Operations will also be a key leader in establishing the annual and quarterly digital budgets and operating plans moving forward.

The ideal candidate has a history as a General Manager and Operator of multiple successful digital ad-supported and subscription businesses, and has experience working in both startup and at-scale operations. A demonstrated ability to create frictionless workflows and processes that enable achievement of business goals, maximizing both quality and profitability is critical.

• Award-winning premium podcast studios Cadence13 and Pineapple Street, along with hundreds of engaging titles produced out of Audacy's studios in nearly all of the top 50 US markets, as well as the podcast influencer marketplace Podcorn, which helps advertisers identify and buy high-quality host-read ads at scale from a diverse group of creators across 50,000 podcasts.
• The Audacy direct-to-consumer digital audio platform, reaching 40M monthly active users across mobile and connected device apps and websites, featuring more than 1,000 streaming stations in over 100 markets, along with top podcasts and exclusive live and on-demand content across music, news and sports, available on more than 10,000 devices.
• A robust sports-betting business, including the BetQL digital platform, with proprietary predictive analytics that helps all bettors - from beginner to sharp - make better bets, and a robust slate of live and on-demand sports betting audio and video content, built to engage and entertain.
• A comprehensive digital marketing solutions business, operating as the digital agency of record for thousands of marketers from a diverse range of business categories all across the US

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
• Ensure achievement of the quarterly operating plan for the digital audio (podcast and streaming) and direct-to-consumer subscription and affiliate commerce businesses
• Establish and maintain a best-in-class digital operations process across Audacy's centralized Planning, Campaign Management, and Ad Ops teams, as well as specialists on the Podcast, Streaming and other digital businesses, that runs flawlessly, increases customer and creator satisfaction, reduces customer attrition, and ensures sales can spend 100% of their time in market
• Ensure alignment at all times between Product and Content teams, and Sales and Marketing teams, to maximize all commercialization opportunities, eliminating process friction and ensuring speed to market
• Working across B.I., product and business leads, and fellow executives, establish consolidated KPIs and oversee ongoing reporting to ensure teams are making data-driven decisions, management is well-informed, and all parts of the organization are fully aligned at all times
• Identify opportunities to drive expense savings and incremental efficiencies across the digital portfolio, then oversee the implementation of these programs
• Act as a liaison for key partners at an executive level, ensuring partnership expectations are met or exceeded, both for Audacy and our most important clients and partners
• Oversee successful integration efforts for future M&A and Strategic Partnerships
• Act as a key executive leader across the digital businesses, motivating cross-functional teams, driving strong collaboration across multiple functions, and helping to facilitate a high-performance culture where the best talent can thrive

Qualifications

More About You:

Required & Preferred:
• 10+ years of experience as a G.M. and Operator of multiple successful digital ad-supported and subscription businesses
• Experience in both startup and at-scale operations
• Strong communication and partnership skills
• Process-oriented leader with significant program management experience
• Ability to quickly diagnose problems and identify potential issues before they arise
• Desire and ability to work in a matrixed organization
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills, including the ability to develop talent and build a high-performance culture across the organization
