Overview

Audacy's Podcast division is seeking a Sr. Manager, Podcast Partnership Strategy & Sales Enablement. The role is an opportunity to help lead the partnership/advertising side of the podcast industry specifically within the Sports and Comedy verticals.

This position is based in Audacy's New York office at 345 Hudson St. - 3 days/week.

We are looking for a strategic, creative, and critical thinker to drive the Podcast Partnership & Sales Enablement department in the day-to-day management and communication between internal teams, brand partners, sellers, planning and hosts/talent. This individual should thrive working in a fast-paced environment and be a pro-active, self-starter that takes initiative and anticipates team needs.

The Sr. Manager role will focus primarily on the Sports and Comedy verticals of our podcast portfolio – however other verticals may fall under this role in the future.

Clear communication skills, attention to detail, and quick thinking will be a day-to-day requirement, with the expectation of being expert across Sports and Comedy categories and ensure a seamless brand and talent experience.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Manager role will report into the VP, Partnership Revenue Strategy & Sales EnablementResponsibilities:
• Lead assigned Sports and Comedy podcast content vertical(s) as the primary revenue lead/liaison between podcast partner shows and the various revenue generating departments within Audacy.
• Work on incoming and proactive brand requests and find relevant shows, ideas, and solutions within the designated podcast verticals.
• Develop relationships with hosts, producers, and other members of each show's production infrastructure
• Present new ideas and show/vertical updates with a regular cadence to internal parties, with the intention of increasing advertising spend for our partner podcasts
• Utilize day-to-day systems and platforms such as DOMO, Megaphone, Chartable, Podsights, and other proprietary and public research tools as needed.
• Work with the Podcast Operations team to handle post sales workflow, new partner onboarding developing and presenting show-specific monthly reports.
• Monitor relevant news, current events, press and brand deals across digital media industry and relay to relevant internal teams
• Be the primary ''creative mind'' behind major podcast RFPs.
• Lead any customized sponsorship execution elements with show partners from start to finish.

Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in a digital, podcast, or media environment
• Previous experience working with talent and/or brands.
• Genuine passion for Sports, Comedy, and podcasts as a medium
• Experience in the audio and/or branded content sales/marketing space
• Strong creativity, writing, and presentation skills.
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
• Must be a team player with the ability to collaborate on projects as well as excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
• Ability to interact with different levels of talent, agents, internal management and leadership.
• Professional acumen, polished presentation/public speaking skills

Additional Information

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated starting salary range for New York based individuals expressing interest in this position is $80,000 - $90,000 annually.

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
