The Platform Team is responsible for architecture, technology selection, and prototyping solutions that the entire engineering organization use, in addition to making sure that engineering needs are being met.

The Senior Director of Platform will be a hands-on engineering lead that will be responsible for hiring, retaining, and mentoring the members of the team. Additionally, the Senior Director of Platform will be an integral part of working with other engineering teams to build a consistent service infrastructure for all of Digital Engineering.

The successful candidate will be skilled in hiring and mentoring the team, being an active participant in engineering strategy and implementation, vendor selection and management, and being an all-around team player. He or she must have a fully-rounded knowledge of successfully developing and delivering organizational and client value solutions. In addition to working effectively in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary, multi-team culture.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
• Lead a team of architects that will lead the evolution of the Audacy digital platform
• Deliver results on complex projects involving multiple teams across the company
• Recruit, coach, and mentor architects and engineers with a hands-on leadership approach
• Provide technical guidance and domain expertise
• Support timely delivery of applications and features to address business needs
• Build and maintain a positive and productive team culture
• Deliver high-quality maintainable code
• Participate in project scoping, resource planning, and timeline estimation
• Follow agile/continuous integration engineering best practices
• Dive into the details where necessary
• Partner with the DevOps team to improve logging and monitoring

Qualifications

Required & Preferred:

Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years managing high-performing teams.
• Experience managing local, remote, and near/offshore teams
• Experience deploying and running AWS-based solutions
• Experience building Service Architectures across multiple teams and squads.
• Experience with Data Backplanes (Kafka, Kinesis, etc) and Event-driven architectures
• Experience with API Gateways
• Experience integrating and building dashboards and alerts in
• Comfortable working in multiple streams of work.
• Strong understanding of RESTful design patterns.
• String understanding deployment flows and processes, and working with DevOps.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience with Node JS
• Experience with ConfluentKafka
• Experience with Kong API Gateway
• Experience with Elastic Search
• Experience with Machine Learning

Additional Information

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $160,000-$190,000 with a 10% bonus. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity. This position can be located remotely or at one of Audacy's
offices in Denver, New York City, Philadelphia,
or Chicago.
