Overview

Audacy, Inc. is a leading audio and entertainment company with corporate headquarters in Philadelphia. We are seeking a Counsel or Senior Counsel to join our corporate legal team. Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
• Work closely with colleagues in the Legal Department and the company's compliance, technology and Human Resources teams to help ensure compliance with applicable US and international data privacy laws and regulations, negotiate the terms of agreements that involve data privacy issues, and advise on the company's existing policies regarding data security and handling of personal and sensitive information.
• Monitor and assess updates in applicable law.
• Address issues with respect to data breaches and incident responses.
• Provide counsel and advice to internal stakeholders and senior leaders
• Build and maintain strong and trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Evangelize a privacy-focused culture throughout the company.
• Corporate policy training and compliance auditing

Qualifications

More About You:

Required & Preferred:
• Candidates should have a law degree and five or more years of relevant experience at a law firm and/or in-house. This experience should include advising clients on data privacy laws and regulations, including CCPA and GDPR.
• We seek applicants with a demonstrated record of academic and professional achievement, well-developed analytical abilities, and exceptional communication and organizational skills. In addition, keen attention to detail and proven drafting skills are required.
• Familiarity with transactional agreements touching on data privacy issues is preferred.
• Ability to work independently
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume workplace environment
• Exceptional initiative, judgment, prioritizing and organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Juris Doctorate Degree with ability to practice in PA required
• Must Have a valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires the use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required
