The Scrum Master is responsible for guiding 2-3 team(s) through the use of Agile / Scrum practices and values for the purpose of delivering quality products and solutions to the organization. This role must build trusted relationships with the team and with their stakeholders (Product Managers, Solutions Managers, etc.) to ensure that the needs of all team members are being met.

What You'll Do:

• Ensure the team follows standard Agile processes while identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Facilitate team in defining Working Agreements, Definition of Ready, Definition of Done and then ensures those agreements are upheld.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies: daily scrum meetings, retrospectives, demos, backlog refinement, backlog sizing, and sprint planning.
• Understand and use a variety of techniques to continuously optimize ceremonies, team participation and engagement.
• Identify and help to remove blockers, escalate issues to the product and solutions manager, recommend ways to resolve blockers, and influence leadership to act on these recommendations.
• Help the teams inspect and adapt processes through retrospectives, data / metrics tracking, and creating an environment with space to grow.
• Coach the team to higher levels of performance.
• Assist with internal and external communication and improve transparency by creating visible information radiators (burn-downs, velocity chart, etc.), dashboards, and demos.
• Provide metric reports to assist in product roadmap planning.
• Facilitate getting the work done without assigning, or dictating the work directly.
• Facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
• Observe team interactions and use emotional intelligence to discuss observations in a collaborative environment.
• Support product planning by participating in release planning discussions.
• Support execution through understanding of priority and sequencing required to deliver efficiently.
• Guide team in commitment making and sprint completion.
• Hold team (Product, Development, QA, and team members) accountable for delivery commitments.
• Help team identify when commitments are at risk and assist team with solutioning to ensure commitments are met.
• Be an agile subject matter expert and provide strategic influence with the product / business and other engineering organizations.
• Ensure team's backlogs are sufficiently full at all times (at minimum 3-4 sprints worth of work defined).
• Practice servant-leadership and promote learning in others by building relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, communicating information, and providing advice to drive efforts forward.
• Influence team members within assigned unit adapting to competing demands and new responsibilities.
• Provide feedback to others including upward feedback to leadership and mentoring junior team members.
• Conduct or oversee business-specific efforts by applying expertise in subject area.
• Partner internally and externally to make effective decisions solving complex problems, escalating high priority issues or blockers as appropriate, monitoring progress and results, and recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

Required & Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, engineering or related field preferred
• Six or more years of experience
• Experience working with client vision, business objectives, and critical success factors
• Experience working with delivery assurance principles and appropriate procedures relevant to area
• Experience working with techniques and approaches related to the architecture, development, integration, and deployment of project phases
• Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies, as well as Traditional Waterfall approach

Preferred:
• Skilled in estimating and common project management desktop tools
• Good communication skills
• Good leadership skills to train, guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel
• Creative thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly
• Ability to manage medium sized projects
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to create and maintain formal and informal networks
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification

Additional Information

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $100,000-$120,000. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity. This position can be located remotely (within one of our markets) or at one of Audacy's
offices in Denver, New York City, Philadelphia, or Chicago.
