Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
• Installing and configuring desktop computer hardware, software, network connections, and printers.
• Monitoring the ticketing system and autonomously and proactively addressing service issues.
• Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
• Modifying accounts for users through permissioning change requests.
• Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
• Implementing new technologies collaboratively in a team environment.
• Maintain, inspect and repair all broadcast radio station equipment, network infrastructure, automation systems, studio equipment, AOIP networks, UPS's, remote control equipment, generators, VOIP and telephone systems.
• Maintain and Review weekly transmitter and studio logs for correct and complete entries including EAS tests and tower lighting requirements per F.C.C. Rules and Regulations.
• Provide support 24/7 in case of equipment failure; available to work various hours/days, including weekends and holidays.
• Assist the Chief Engineer to maintain the integrity of all on-air and on-line products, including high power FM + HD, AM, digital audio & audio streaming.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair all broadcast radio station equipment, including transmitters, antennas, STL, satellite downlinks, studio equipment, remote equipment, generators and backup power systems, telephone system and related equipment in keeping with good engineering practices.
• Install and maintain broadcast IT systems at studios and transmitter sites, such as WideOrbit, Axia,NewsBoss including workstations and servers.
• Create instructional materials and teach operators to use technical equipment and systems.
• Handle telco problems and service calls. Work with technicians to troubleshoot circuits; cross connect in-house circuits.
• Generator testing, fueling and supervision of maintenance.
• UPS testing and supervision of maintenance.
• Effectively communicate and partner with programming staff as well as outside partners.
• Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Plus, you're in possession of an awesome and thoughtful logical process in how you approach problem solving. You stick to strict work schedules, deadlines, and prioritize your work. Teamwork and collaboration skills are a must.
• Previous experience providing desktop support; 1-3 Years.
• Basic understanding of networking knowledge: LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Subnetting, DNS, AOIP
• Strong working knowledge of desktop technology as it relates to Google Workspace solutions including: IT Support Ticketing, Zoom VoIP Support Solutions, and other cloud-based collaboration platforms.
• Strong Desktop Security Best Practices through managing frequent OS updates, through user experience embellishment, as well as through Audacy's social inter-web channels
• Experience with broadcast, or content creation software tools such as Adobe Audition, Audacity, or OBS is recommended
• Must be physically able to move heavy computer equipment/boxes, safely climb short ladders without assistance.
• Finally, familiarity with the proper and safe use of small company-provided hand tools.
• Minimum 3 years broadcast engineering experience.
• Associate's degree in electronics preferred.
• IT networking skills preferred.
• Knowledge of FCC Rules and Regulations.
• Ability to provide support 24/7 in case of equipment failure; available to work various hours/days, including weekends and holidays.
• FCC General Class License or SBE Certifications are a plus.
• A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
• Strong verbal and writing communications skills.
