The fellowship program is a one (1) year structured job assignment designed to fast track career development. The program will provide Fellows early career access to resources, support and professional networks that they might not otherwise experience in a typical internship or entry-level position. Our goal is to attract a more diverse, highly engaged, knowledgeable early career workforce where we can help develop your skills, provide hands-on training and resources from experienced and influential leaders within our company, and ultimately prepare you for career advancement opportunities within our team and the industry at large.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

V103 Atlanta is looking for a Digital Content Fellow to support our growing urban music format across multiple stations and markets. The ideal candidate will be a resourceful content creator who is quick thinking, self-starter, with a hunger to learn from the leading multi-platform audio innovator.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms: (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Tik Tok)
• Must be able to record and edit video
• Be in tune with music, culture, sports, politics, current events
• Must be able to work with Brand Managers/stations in multiple markets,
• Must be able to work with various shifts, personalities in helping to produce creative content for growing audiences
• Flexibility to work nights/weekends and go to events as needed
• Must have excellent writing skills and the ability to create engaging stories.
• Strong self-editing skills with attention to detail in grammar, punctuation, and design layout.
• Create and maintain station website content including email marketing, uploading and editing of audio and video for web use.
• Ability to own the news cycle to make judgments and react instantaneously and independently to key breaking/viral opportunities.
• Deep-rooted knowledge of a variety of popular music, and culture.
• Must have excellent knowledge and judgment of digital distribution methods. Once the digital content is created, knowing where to distribute the content is of paramount importance to driving traffic and/or engaging with V-103's audience.
• Must be comfortable and have working knowledge of audience building and engagement.
• Strong Search Engine Optimization (SEO) knowledge and expertise

• Must be a recent graduate of either an undergraduate or relevant advanced degree program; within 2 years of graduation date preferred
• Journalism or creative writing degree preferred

• Must be a recent graduate of either an undergraduate or relevant advanced degree program; within 2 years of graduation date preferred
• Journalism or creative writing degree preferred
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Previous hands on experience in a newsroom, preferred, or a desired interest in: audio editing, storytelling, writing
• Previous social media, podcasting experience, preferred
