Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
• On-Air Hosting: Co-host live or pre-recorded radio shows, engaging with the audience, delivering content, and maintaining a lively, entertaining and informative atmosphere. Monitor the music and commercial logs for the airshift. Operate the control board and perform production work.
• Interactive Engagement: Foster audience engagement through phone calls, emails, social media, and other interactive channels, encouraging listener participation and feedback. Participate and create original content for all social media platforms; managing online personality presence.
• Content Creation: Contribute to the development and planning of show content, including selecting topics, conducting research, and preparing scripts or talking points.
• Interviewing: Conduct on-air interviews with guests, celebrities, experts, and community members, ensuring engaging and insightful conversations.
• News and Information: Deliver news updates, weather reports, and relevant information to keep listeners informed and engaged.
• Promotions and Advertisements: Promote station-sponsored events, contests, and advertisements as directed by the station's management. Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly. Make personal appearances at station events and remote broadcasts.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the show's host, producers, and technical staff to ensure seamless show production and adherence to station policies.
• Research and Preparation: Stay up-to-date with current events, trends, and industry news to inform show content and discussions.
• Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism on and off the air, representing the station positively in public appearances and interactions.
• Adherence to Regulations: Ensure compliance with FCC regulations, station policies, and industry standards for broadcasting.
• Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
More About You:
Required and Preferred:
• Previous experience in radio broadcasting, podcasting, or related media roles preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Charismatic and engaging on-air presence.
• Ability to think on your feet and improvise when necessary.
• Excellent interviewing and conversational skills.
• Must have solid productions skills and a strong working knowledge of studio audio equipment necessary for on-air and production execution, including on-air digital systems such as Wide Orbit, Vox Pro, and voice-tracking software.
• Enthusiasm for radio and a passion for creating engaging content.
• Must have a valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires the use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance is required.

Additional Information
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated starting salary range for California, Washington, Colorado, and New York based individuals expressing interest in this position is $100,000 to $300,000. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
