What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a Publicist to work closely with our Chief Marketing & Communications Officer. The position requires experience in entertainment public relations and current trade press relationships. A communicative and thoughtful individual who can take initiative as they maintain the Agency's public image.

The candidate will need a strong work ethic and an understanding of how their role can help to grow the Agency's practice. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as an interest in performing artists and content creators across multiple mediums and platforms.

Duties
• Create and manage publicity activities in conjunction with industry awards, festivals, conferences, corporate special events including guest lists, ticketing, and overall event coordination
• Construct and produce internal and external advertising and marketing materials
• Track editorial calendars for special issue features and additional press opportunities
• Gather and administer all client & corporate press materials for releases (bio, headshot, past credits, rep info) across all trade publications
• Oversee and maintain various schedules, status reports and databases, as well as relations with media outlets
• Perform daily/weekly operational and administrative tasks for department and Chief Marketing & Communications Officer
• Supervise social media posts and activity across multiple platforms for company
• Other duties as assigned

Skills And Qualifications
• Extraordinary organizational skills
• Strong knowledge of current industry affairs
• Proactive and detail oriented
• Works well under pressure to meet deadlines in fast-paced work environment
• Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks and projects with efficiency
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Education And Experience
• 1-2 years as Publicist or Junior Publicist working in the entertainment or music industry is required
• Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the Los Angeles or New York based entertainment business and come with trade press relationships
• A bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, or communications from an accredited University or College is preferred
