Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Producer to support Amazon Prime Video's sports Production Team in the creation and management of our Live sports.
The role will be responsible for creative management of live projects in the UK and possible other territories.
The position requires great attention to detail and organisation skills, as well as the ability to switch gears at a moment's notice. Planning and managing all aspects of a live production prior to and during a live sports event. Direct experience as producer for high level professional sports, ideally in Premier League Football and ATP/WTA tennis plus other top-tier live sports productions. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals both internal and external is key.
Key job responsibilities
• Responsible for the creative management and design of live sports projects in all areas of development and editorial execution prior to and during a live event.
• Oversee all aspects of production and delivery during live event and surrounding shoulder content.
• On-site when necessary to manage talent, producers, evaluate work-flow and potential problems both domestically and abroad.
• Works closely with 3rd party producers and their post-production and field operations teams to insure a high quality of creative delivery for all required assets.
• Identifies and helps bring to market innovative and new production techniques.
• Collaboration with internal departments - marketing, PR, business affairs, legal, finance and product.
• Ability to work with in-house and across international Amazon teams.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling and cost reports
• Experience as a producer/production manager/line producer or experience in production risk management
• Experience as a creative producer in broadcast television with heavy emphasis on major sports productions.
• Working knowledge of location specific production guidelines and procedures.
• On-site problem solving ability and experience in managing production teams.
• Detailed planning, time management, and organisational skills.
• Extensive live broadcast production experience and the ability to live programme produce 'In the chair' when required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Deep knowledge and creative management experience in all forms of types of live programming and across varying budget levels.
• Experience with above-the-line talent and managing production teams.
• Ability to work with and mentor experienced and new on-air talent.
• Wide array of industry contacts.
• Experience with asset management and delivery.
• Good and varied knowledge of digital media and post production workflows.
• High levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
• Awareness of producers, production companies, agents, and other industry players.
• Web-savvy: familiar with online video environment including live and VOD workflows.
• Experience in producing sport both for world feed and broadcast presentation coverage.
• Familiar with social media content and marketing requirements during live event.
