Events Production Manager (People Manager), Events Production

Job summary
The Events Production Manager (People Manager) will focus on managing and developing the Event Engineers, Coordinators and Producers in EMEA, to support on-site and off-site corporate events. The role will require the ability to understand when and how to supplement event requests with outside support where needed. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the largest and most dynamic on- and off- campus Events for Amazon. The successful candidate will be able to step seamlessly into a corporate office environment and mange Engineers, Coordinators and Producers in multiple countries across EMEA, demonstrating strong organisational skills, impeccable customer service attitude and energetic drive to serve our customers and the team.

Responsibilities Include
• People management and development of Production Engineers, Producers and Coordinators
• Scheduling shifts and balancing workloads
• Scheduling and coordinating with outside vendors for over-hire labour to fill roles when needed
• Procurement of basic resources for technical support of events
• Verifying accuracy and timeliness of information for event schedules across all relevant platforms
• Ensure the Production team is following the safest best practices in all operations
• Developing and improving processes for seamless communication across all services
• Staying up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies
• Producing weekly business reports and report to leadership on the health of business
• Project management for all individual and team projects
• Build strong relationships with partner groups

Key job responsibilities
• People management and development of Production Engineers and Producers

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5 years People Management experience
• 3 years of Event Operations or other similar Operations Management experience
• Have a thorough understanding of how much time and labour is required to perform specific tasks and duties
• Capable of staying on task when alone, but also interface well with customers and team members
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to occasionally adjust work schedule to business needs
• Strong experience with production management
• Up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies
• Experience with Performance Management
• Understanding of Project Management
• Strong document writing skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 3 or more years of Event Production Management experience
• Understanding of Ethernet for entertainment applications
• Basic understanding of Adobe Premiere
• Basic understanding of AWS products
