We are seeking an ambitious Senior Product Manager-Tech to join our Metrics and Data Platform team. The team plays a critical role in enabling Amazon Music's business decisions and data-driven software development by collecting behavioral and operational metrics for our internal teams. We maintain a scalable and robust platform to support Amazon Music's rapid growth. We collaborate closely with data producers and data consumers in Amazon Music to accelerate innovation using data.

As a Senior Product Manager-Tech, you will develop and drive a vision for our foundational customer behavioral datasets and drive enhancements to our existing event model for ease of instrumentation and consumption. You will focus on expediting the feedback loop from launch to insights. You will define and execute a strategy to avoid downstream data quality issues at scale using automation and machine learning. You will own requirements and partner with technical leads to develop strategies for keeping data secure and compliant with privacy regulations and standards. At Amazon Music, product managers are the CEO of the features they build and closely collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, QA and more to define, design, and directly manage all aspects of the customer experience, both internal and external. A successful candidate will be customer obsessed, highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a data-heavy organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality and simple products that customers love.

Key job responsibilities
- Developing and pitching new product ideas that enable the business to leverage data effectively
- Developing and owning the data roadmap and strategic plans for improving the analytical ecosystem
- Producing high quality Amazon-style written narrative documents for product pitches, requirements, and strategic plans
- Coordinating product feature launches with one or more engineering teams
- Regular cross-organizational customer engagements to develop relationships and understanding of needs and problems
- Leading and participating in team planning
- Leading and participating in Metrix leadership team objectives and mechanisms
- Coordinating with TPMs and SDMs on product needs in the project management cycle

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
