If you love the challenges that come with big data engineering and thrive in a fast-paced highly collaborative environment to solve business problems, then this job is for you. In this role, you will collaborate with product and technical stakeholders to improve the operations of Amazon Music by solving challenging data problems that span many systems. You can recognize and recommend process and engineering improvements that reduce failures and improve efficiency. You can propose and build new analytics that help your partners measure and meet their operational goals.

You are a key contributor of a programmer analyst team focused on operational efficiency projects where you will identify, quantify, and contextualize behavioral data patterns. You are able to determine whether a system is meeting business expectations and can diagnose bottlenecks and inefficiencies using data. You have experience in business process analysis, requirements collection, modeling, programming, testing, and support. You can switch between complex and routine tasks when required and quickly adopt new technologies.

You are known to be detail oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, able to juggle multiple tasks at once, and able to work independently.

You will showcase your technical skills to dive deep into different tech stacks like big data pipelines and distributed systems built on AWS services (Lambda/Redshift/Kinesis/SQS/SNS). You are proficient in at least one programming language (Java or Python), can address complex code tasks and have experience with BI tools (QuickSight, Tableau). A general understanding of AWS services is a plus.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Known to be detail oriented
- Have a superior verbal and written communication skills
- Able to juggle multiple tasks at once, and able to work independently.
- Dive deep into different tech stacks like big data pipelines and distributed systems built on AWS services (Lambda/Redshift/Kinesis/SQS/SNS).
- Proficient in at least one programming language (Java or Python).
- Address complex code tasks
- Experience with BI tools like QuickSight or Tableau
- Understand SDLC

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years developing on AWS services
- Excel managing functional and technical stakeholders
