Key job responsibilities
We are seeking a music aficionado Program Manager for our metadata supply chain to help build a scalable QA model to support our growing customer and catalog needs.
• Establish goals, plans and related metrics, track progress, create SOPs, and operate through obstacles to achieve program objectives.
• Create reporting and dashboards for critical metrics to illustrate progress against goals to support team activities and report to management on weekly/monthly basis.
• Be a subject matter expert across various catalog metadata attributes (ie: Tags, Genres, Artist data points, etc.)
• Work cross functionally with the product management, engineering, frontend client teams, operations and program teams to document and define initiatives and drive them through execution.
• Act as a thought leader in defining success criteria and understand business needs of partner teams in an ever-changing business environment.
• Prepare strategic recommendations, roadmaps, and program updates to senior management for the organization.
• Identify and analyze data to isolate issues, develop solutions, and prioritize opportunities for servicing our partners.
• Make recommendations that balance short team needs against the long-term business benefit.
• Balance competing and conflicting priorities across teams and escalate effectively when needed to advocate for the needs of the organization or customers, even if it may seem uncomfortable.

About the team
The Digital Music Catalog and Selection Excellence (CASE) team is responsible for generating content for Amazon's various digital music services. Our goal is to build metadata, technologies and processes that create distinctive products for our customers. We want to help our customers discover up-and-coming artists, while also having access to their favorite established musicians. We build systems that are distributed on a large scale, spanning our music apps, web player, and voice-forward audio engagement on mobile and Amazon Echo devices. Amazon Music offerings are available in countries around the world, and our applications support our mission of delivering music to customers in new and exciting ways that enhance their day-to-day lives. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of program or project management experience
• Experience with Excel
• Bachelor's degree
• Demonstrated bias for action with strengths in problem-solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of demonstrated results as a program manager or project manager in a technical, e-commerce, or media-related environment.
• Professional and leadership experience and demonstrated increasing responsibility.
• Multi-Genre and Decade depth of musical domain knowledge.
• Music Industry experience.
• Medium to High tech acumen.
• Expertise in large data manipulation or quality assurance testing of large data sets; data mining, data management, reporting, and SQL queries.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to function with business owners to define key business questions, demonstrated success in solving analytical problems and the ability to build data sets that answer those questions.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
