A day in the life
As a Principal Technical Program Manager at Amazon Music, you will have the opportunity to work closely with product, design, software development and platform teams to implement strategy and execution. You will collaborate with the product teams to deliver the best solutions with efficient use of resources and technologies. You will make strong business cases for project prioritization and investment. You will also assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and inspire risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit. We are looking for new team members across a variety of job functions including software engineering/development, marketing, design, ops and more. Our team is focused on building a personalized, curated, and seamless music experience. We want to help our customers discover up-and-coming artists, while also having access to their favorite established musicians. We build systems that are distributed on a large scale, spanning our music apps, web player, and voice-forward audio engagement on mobile and Amazon Echo devices, powered by Alexa to support our customer base. Amazon Music offerings are available in countries around the world, and our applications support our mission of delivering music to customers in new and exciting ways that enhance their day-to-day lives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Architectural design or system design experience independent of an architect
• 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• Experience driving roadmap strategy and definition
• 7+ years of technical program management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of experience of working on scalable, highly available services with high transaction volume.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a principal-level technical program or product manager
• 2+ years of experience working with ML modeling frameworks and tooling, and with data preparation techniques.
• A deep understanding of the SDLC and consistent record of achieving program objectives on schedule, on budget and meeting quality criteria
• Experience designing and building solutions for developers and scientists.
• Passion for learning new technologies and finding ways to apply them to improve our customers' lives.
