Key job responsibilities
We are seeking a seasoned data-driven technical Product Manager to lead new Machine Learning initiatives that will accelerate the growth of Amazon Music. Our team, MAPLE, owns a suite of complex technical and customer-facing digital subscription products in the Acquisition, Retention, Payments, Fraud and Identity space that impact the lives of millions of Amazon Music customers worldwide. In this role, you will set the product vision for the team, collaborate with internal stakeholders across marketing, UX, finance, legal, data science and guide a large engineering teams towards that vision. You will be expected to elevate the quality of data instrumentation across the existing suite of both customer-facing and technical (APIs) products, identify opportunities to build or optimize ML models and develop feedback loops to retrain the models with minimal manual interventions. You are expected to instill a culture of making customer-centric decisions through data and insights. You will also be a mentor to the other product managers on the team. This is a technical product manager position that requires ability to work across organizations, technical depth to manage complex systems, understanding of compliance/ privacy management regulations, know-how in driving a large-scale project from inception to launch, willingness to deal with ambiguity and competing priorities. An ideal candidate is data-driven, results oriented and has a note-worthy track record in building and deploying ML models on consumer products.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 8+ years of technical product management, program management or engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience with end to end product delivery
• Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
• Experience owning roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Bachelor's Degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years experience developing, deploying and delivering results through ML models (strongly preferred)
• Track record of achievements. You've shipped cool stuff that has moved the needle on key business & customer metrics. You have demonstrated success building buy-in for an innovative and bold vision.
• Data-centric and analytical. You have experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and assertions of business value. You also leverage your strong analytical skills and ability to dive deep to develop a nuanced understanding of your product and customers, and to create effective strategies. You also have a demonstrated ability to make high quality/high impact decisions in the absence of data and figure out how to gather data (through experiments, tests, etc) to support your decisions.
• Technical fluency. You have the ability to understand, discuss, and challenge architectural concepts, tradeoffs, and new opportunities with technical team members.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products
• Experience effectively influencing senior leaders (VP, SVP, C-level)
• Thinks strategically, but stays on top of tactical execution
• MBA or master's degree
• A passion for music!
