Job Description
About Amazon Music
The Amazon Music for Artists team operates at the intersection of artists and their fans. We are a start-up team that is heavily focused on innovation, and with our growth we are seeking a visionary to lead a team focused on the next generation of products that serve artists. This is an opportunity to help define the future of artist and fan experiences, and Amazon Music's place in it.
Amazon Music is looking for a driven, strategic, customer-centric BizTech leader to help reinvent live music experiences and grow our Music Merch business. Music and fashion have been intertwined for decades, and this leader will lead a team to launch new live event experiences that authentically connects artists and fans through merch-including within Amazon Music, Amazon Music For Artists, building shoppable content experiences for livestreams, and more.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of leading teams to launch new businesses, lead business development, build innovative products, and create new experiences in the music and/or fashion industry. You are able to partner with product and operation teams to define customer experience and build new business models, marketing teams to drive artist and fan adoption, and Finance to build P&Ls. You will be able to distill a bold vision for the future into experiences and features we can launch iteratively and experimentally, and you know how to build support for their vision while taking input from other creative contributors. Experience working directly with artists and their teams is a plus, as is experience in the live events and music merch industry. The right candidate stays on top of the fashion and music industry and competitive trends and can execute at a strategic and leadership level to drive sales and margin growth while ensuring a best-in-class customer experience.
