We are looking for Global Head of Performance Marketing to take our global marketing organization to the next level. The ideal candidate will have broad growth and performance marketing experience, managing large teams (25+) and budgets (ideally nine-figure budgets) for consumer facing technology products/services. This person thrives in the science of marketing, is able to prioritize effectively in a fast-moving and ever-changing environment and understands what are the most impactful levers to allow his/ her team to drive maximum impact. This is a highly visible position that will interact at all levels of the company. We are looking for a relentless, customer-obsessed, and business-minded marketer with a penchant for invention, operational excellence and delivering results.
Key job responsibilities
• Own Amazon Music's global performance marketing strategy and execution to drive worldwide customer acquisition and engagement for Amazon Music through channels as Paid Search, Paid Social, Paid Display, Affiliates, SEO and others.
• Manage and scale a large team of growth marketers and channel specialists with a nine-figure global budget across 20+ countries.
• Lead paid media center of excellence, supporting several other businesses including Amp, Wondery and Amazon Photos.
• Create and implement new martech stack and business model solutions, making build vs. buy tradeoffs. Drive business requirements and work with development teams to drive the expansion of internal tools and platforms that support marketing initiatives.
• Work with Business Intelligence and Tech team leaders to build a world-class performance marketing engine across tracking, attribution, automation and optimization.
• Develop recommendations for new growth initiatives and programs that scale customer acquisition and/ or engagement.
• Build new mid-funnel programs, aligning cross-functional stakeholders to success and measurement criteria.
• Manage relationships with key partners in the advertising ecosystem (e.g. Google, Apple, Facebook, Mobile Measurement Partners, etc).
• Partner with other performance marketing leaders at Amazon to establish best practices for marketing and collaborate on a unified Amazon vision on growth and performance marketing.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 12+ years of digital marketing experience in leadership positions, including growth and performance marketing.
• 10+ years of experience leading a multi-functional and multi-country digital marketing team or organization.
• Proven ability to attract and grow talent, and effectively coach and support career growth of team members.
• You have experience managing managers.
• You are an inclusive people leader with a track record of building and managing healthy teams that drive impact.
• Experience in building ROI-based investment frameworks and managing multi-million dollar paid media budgets.
• Experience building, executing and scaling marketing programs across multiple international markets.
• Proven ability to define a roadmap in collaboration with cross-functional tech teams and lead through its implementation, understand and make the necessary tradeoffs.
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills; with a natural curiosity to measure, test, learn and iterate.
• Exceptional leadership and communication (written and verbal) skills to drive recommendations, articulate tradeoffs and communicate plans to senior executives.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA or advanced degree
• 5+ years with digital media (video, music, games, software) and/or consumer subscription products
• 5+ years of mobile experience with consumer technology product or service
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $187,000/[yr] in our lowest geographic market up to $278,200/[yr] in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
