Job Description
We are looking for a culturally thoughtful creative leader to drive and execute the Amazon Music brand experience.

The Executive Creative Director will drive diverse ways for the Amazon Music brand to come to life, igniting fandom. The optimal leader for this role will have experience managing multi-disciplinary creative teams, as well as building deep partnerships with cross functional leaders including Product Design, Marketing, Artist & Label Relations, and Editorial & Programming, able to fluidly shift from subjective, non-linear creative endeavors to analytical discussions.

As creative leader for Amazon Music, awareness of trends, culture, innovation, and disruptions must be exceptional.

Key job responsibilities
• Proactively identify opportunities to incorporate the best current thinking into the team's work, rooted in culture.
• Foster and invest in the growth and development of a cross-functional creative team (visual design, brand design, creative marketing, environmental design, motion design, etc.), learning how and where to best focus and experiment.
• Manage and lead creative reviews and presentations, while successfully presenting concepts and powerful narratives for senior management, in order to influence business and creative decisions.
• Leverage external relationships, and build new ones, to bring the most exceptional partners to projects as needed.
• Drive new ideas that lead to innovative brand experiences to support launches.
• Raise the bar on marketing creative storytelling, artist collaborations, and brand partnerships.
• Be a key voice in evolving Amazon Music's role in music culture.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 15+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience managing cross-functional creative multi-disciplinary teams.
• A portfolio of Design, Branding and Creative Marketing work.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Global experience, at scale.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong people management and coaching skills to provide clear creative direction and to motivate and inspire creative teams.
• Relentless desire for innovation, balanced with business and user interaction priorities.
• Demonstrated business acumen and customer-centricity.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $221,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $329,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
