Position Summary:
As a Director Touring, you will undertake the pivotal role of overseeing the management of multiple tours, with a focus on operations from the promoter's standpoint. This entails strategic planning, logistical coordination, and ensuring seamless execution to meet touring team and clients objectives. Lead and closely collaborate with the touring department, overseeing various projects such as developing and evaluating financial models, as well as preparing tour offers for theaters, arenas, and stadiums at a directorial level.
Essential Functions:
• Lead and review ticket sales, holds, and other appropriate ticketing items for assigned tours, working with tour ticketing director to manage these items.
• Oversee and work directly with various departments (i.e. marketing, operations, ticketing, production, legal) on overall aspects for assigned tours.
• Guide and closely collaborate with the touring department, overseeing various projects such as developing and evaluating financial models, as well as preparing tour offers for theaters, arenas, and stadiums at a directorial level.
• Negotiate venue deals for each tour at the theater, arena and stadium level. Maintain regular communication with client representatives for each assigned tour.
• May focus on developing strategies to expand AEG's global footprint with each artist and oversee all aspects of tour cycle – Offer Creation, Contracting, On Sale, Inventory Management, final settlement
• May be responsible for completing nightly settlements at each show as well as in addition to overall tour settlement, work to open additional ticket inventory for sales and/or day-of- show ticketing needs on site at the venue.
• May entail overseeing all tour logistics, ensuring timely dissemination of information to relevant departments to all parties, and drafting artist and venue contracts, overseeing various departments to ensure advancement of production requirements have been met.
Required Qualifications:
• BA/BS Degree (4-year)
• 6-8 years Of related work experience
• Understanding of accounting and ability to complete accurate show settlements (inclusive of working knowledge of global exchange rates)
• Understanding of and experience in touring music business both domestic and international (i.e. has worked on at least one touring project that has extended beyond North America).
• Ability to build effective working relationships with clients, venues, and co-workers
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Self-motivated and takes initiative
• May require heavy travel for long period of time of the road.
Payscale: $108,244-165,685
Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
