The WABC-TV & Live with Kelly & Mark Show (LWKM) Business Manager position is broadly responsible for financial accounting, reporting, planning & analysis on both the corporate and management operations levels!

What You Will Do

In conjunction with each member of our small finance team, the Business Manager is expected to be multi-skilled across a broad range of finance and operating systems and functions and regularly assists in other areas including payroll, credit & collections, procure-to-pay, Concur T&E, HR and in operational support of our entire WABC / LWKM team.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare, analyze and present annual plans, quarterly forecasts and long range plans (financial & capital) for each of WABC's operating departments.
• Advise leadership and operating managers on financial performance against plans, goals and targets and propose creative solutions to help meet targets.
• Quarterly financial closing analyses and reporting for The Walt Disney Company and WABC Management requirements.
• Analyze capital spending plans to project depreciation and amortization expenses.
• Process accounts payable, purchase orders, Concur T&E expense accounts, payroll and facilities work orders for WABC / LWKM.
• Resolve system, business partner, vendor, and employee issues.
• Assist in researching credit and sales order acceptance.
• Expense account analyses and reconciliations.
• Assist production, technical, administrative, and operating teams with all operating issues, including operating, facility and field needs.
• Perform ad hoc requests and special projects for station, division and corporate management.
• Understand and ensure adherence to TWDC, Division and WABC / LWKM policies, CBA work and pay rules and other control requirements.
• Develop a wide range of collaborative partnerships across WABC / LWKM and TWDC Finance, Corporate and Administrative teams.

Required Qualifications & Skills
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a finance role, preferably in the news and broadcast industry
• Experience with and a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) requirements.
• Strong understanding of Excel, SAP, Concur, Kronos, Wide Orbit, and other systems used by WABC / LWKM.

Required Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.

The hiring range for this position is $93,000 to $124,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
