Job Description
Work Locations: With the exception of some select roles that have in-office requirements, A+E Global Media operates on a flexible model that allows for remote, hybrid or full time in office work (in certain locales).
Office locations include New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Stamford, CT.

Job Description
• Oversee accrual process for various business areas to ensure general ledger coding and amounts are supportable.
• Support corporate expenses across various business lines, including but not limited to accounting for shared services, leases, fixed assets, cloud computing, insurance, debt, etc.
• Review and post journal entries to the general ledger to record monthly accruals and adjustments.
• Responsible for proper and timely accounting close in accordance with US GAAP
• Review expense allocations to various business areas of the company
• Review and present monthly financial reporting schedules and supporting documents for monthly controller and CFO meetings
• Review monthly and quarterly balance sheet analysis and reconciliations
• Provide accounting training as needed to operational managers or new employees
• Conduct regular review meetings with finance and operational personnel regarding variances between actual and budgeted / forecasted expenses
• Compile and review information for audit as needed
• Perform ad-hoc analytics and support as requested by VP, Corporate Accounting and SVP, Assistant Controller
• Review monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules
• Develop and/or maintain accounting policies and procedures for various business areas
• Review monthly activity related to fixed asset acquisitions, disposals and reclasses
• Review monthly depreciation expense entries to the general ledger. Ensure that gross assets, accumulated depreciation, and depreciation expense are correctly stated and reconciled in the general ledger and sub-ledger
• Review and research accounting guidance in related areas to ensure compliance with GAAP
• Supervise senior accountants' day-to-day, provide training as needed, hold regular status meetings and develop annual goals and long-term growth plan
• Cultivate a positive and motivating environment where staff can produce high quality results, actively be involved in process improvement and share ideas
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
• B.S. in Accounting
• CPA required
• Advanced Excel + Word skills
• Accounting Experience (8-15 years)
• Must be able to work independently, able to multi-task efficiently and meet deadlines under strict time constraints
• Must possess effective oral and written communication / interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented and extremely organized
• Strong work ethic & professionalism, must be able to handle confidential information
• Proficient leadership and presentation skills
• Demonstrates problem solving and decision making skills, and continuous process improvement thought process
• Candidate must be accountable, collaborative, creative and passionate
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
• SAP ECC or S/4 Hana General ledger and subledger / SAP BPC Budget and Consolidation systems experience or financial system experience
• Capabilities to utilize AI to enhance work process
Compensation
Annual Pay Range: $124,444 - $145,600
Annual Incentive Target: 15.00%
The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the
minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will
be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills,
