Work Locations: With the exception of some select roles that have in-office requirements, A+E Networks operates on a flexible model that allows for remote, hybrid or full time in office work (in certain locales).

Job Description
Provide paralegal support to Legal & Business Affairs NY Content [BA] Team, predominantly regarding unscripted programming development, production, co-production and/or licensing, researching information and preparing memos, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under supervision of SVP & Assoc. GC, as well as other attorneys on the team:
• Draft complex programming-related agreements and/or amendments in keeping with negotiated business terms, send out to contracting party for comments, and revise as needed, all in keeping with A+E business practices as they evolve,
• Maintain tickler system for all PACed unscripted projects to ensure that all move towards completion in a timely manner (follow up on status as needed),
• Prepare and distribute memos and digests of complex programming agreements to ensure that clients are aware of key provisions (e.g., pre-existing formats, unusual revenue shares, grant/limitation of rights to A+E, talent-related provisions, etc.),
• Research questions from numerous client groups as needed (e.g., Programming, Program Strategy, Content Licensing, Accounting/Finance, Rights & Clearances),
• Cross-train with other paralegals / junior attorneys on team to grow and strengthen skill set and provide back up as needed (e.g., on marketing/sweepstakes projects, scripted agreements, releases/agreements regarding wholly-owned production subsidiary productions, vendor agreements, etc.),
• Liaise with Program Accounting and Accounts Payable as needed,
• Other tasks as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
• BA, and either JD or Paralegal certificate.
• 4+ years experience working at a law firm, television network/other content provider, or production company legal department; prior drafting experience required.
• Advanced level of Microsoft Word; some knowledge of Excel.
• Highly organized, detail-orientated, strong proofreading skills, and ability to time-manage multiple tasks and take initiative.
• Candidate must be a team player who can interact with all levels of management and work cross-departmentally
Compensation
Hourly Pay Range: $33.19 - $42.60
Annual Incentive Target: 5%

be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills,
