Job Description
The Manager, Social Media Strategy, A&E is a frontline brand representative responsible for overseeing social media accounts and creating robust social media strategy campaigns, which includes content creation and community management across various series. As a key member of the A&E communications team, this candidate is responsible for developing, refining, and measuring the effectiveness of the social media strategy for the network. The key objective of this role is to ensure that all social media efforts align with overall communication and marketing strategies for the brand to drive broader awareness and engagement. This individual should have a comprehensive understanding of social metrics plus be current on changes to the social media landscape, industry platform updates and new techniques in consumer-facing social media. It is imperative that this role has a knowledge of the entertainment space and a passion for pop-culture and television.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO: Manager, Social Media Strategy, A&E
• Proven ability to conceptualize, create and maintain strategic and creative social media launch plans for brand and programming initiatives.
• Solid understanding of social media platforms and their users (Facebook, Instagram, X, Tik Tok etc.)
• Maintain daily content calendars and oversee the daily responsibilities of a robust social media presence across a multitude of brand and show pages.
• Analyze competitive landscape to create informed social strategy plans and content roll-out strategies.
• Working directly with internal and external partners including talent, producers, and agencies.
• Assist with creation of content (video assets, custom graphics, etc.) for series.
YOUR STORY: Manager, Social Media Strategy, A&E
• Minimum 5 years prior work experience in social media strategy particularly within entertainment, television, marketing and/or related field. Prior television experience leading series is a plus.
• Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field preferred
• Demonstrated ability in managing multiple projects simultaneously while working effectively under the pressure of last-minute deadlines and changing priorities.
• Stellar copy writing and editing abilities, outstanding written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
• Superior organizational skills, innovative approach, professionalism, attention to detail as well as a passion for entertainment and digital media and development.
• A team player who thrives in a collaborative work environment and takes initiative and functions effectively, both independently and as a member of a team.
• Exceptional judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential issues and topics.
• Proficient in social monitoring, scheduling, analytical tools, data reporting, and (Microsoft Office, Dash Hudson, Sprout)
• Knowledgeable of video and photo editing (Avid, Adobe Creative/Photoshop/Premiere Pro, etc).
Compensation
Annual Pay Range: $75,690 - $95,544
Annual Incentive Target: 12.50%
The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the
minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will
be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills,
