Job Description

The Manager, Corporate Development & Strategy is responsible for the development of both short and long term strategic initiatives to advance A+E Networks. The position offers unique exposure to a wide variety of businesses within the media and entertainment industry. This role will be focused on evaluating emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, competitive threats and developing recommendations for how A+E should react both domestically and internationally. The Manager will report directly to the Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategy.

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Corporate Strategy:
• Analyze competitive global industry trends, assess the impact to A+E Networks, develop recommendations to drive improvement of impacted internal business units, and complete projects to implement selected solutions.
• Partner with divisional leadership to discover and model internal growth opportunities and transform them into results.
• Collaborate and coordinate with team and divisional leadership to formulate overall corporate strategy and key growth initiatives (e.g., new media platforms, new business opportunities and geographic expansion).
• Create compelling, persuasive, clear and concise presentation materials to communicate key learnings and recommendations to advise senior level executives.
• Build cross functional relationships to create a central point of view and share best practices throughout the company.

Corporate Development:
• Develop theses around the future of the media landscape and businesses that A+E can expand into.
• Evaluate, model and conduct due diligence on investment opportunities.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to manage day to day execution of investment priorities.
• Perform ongoing research, financial modeling and analysis to inform investment decisions.

YOUR STORY:
• BA/BS from a top program. MBA preferred but not required.
• 4 – 7 years of experience, including work at a top tier consulting firm, investment bank, venture capital or private equity firm and/or direct media industry experience
• Proficient quantitative skills, advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, and comfort working with large amounts of data and financial documents
• Excellent problem-solving skills including project prioritization, critical thinking and hypothesis development
• Ability to develop cogent arguments and present them concisely to a range of stakeholders, including executives

Compensation

Annual Pay Range: $88,122 - $123,473

Annual Incentive Target: 12.50%

The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the

minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will

be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills,

competencies, location, and experience. A+E offers a competitive total compensation
