Job Description
THE ROLE: As a key top executive for the A+E Factual Division and reporting to the President of the division, the Head of Production will work directly with the leaders of the unscripted creative team and have oversight of all production. You will also work closely with our financial and legal partners, and internal and external buyers to guide hundreds of hours of content through final delivery.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Strategize with management leadership to create a streamlined, innovative future state for the division which will enable to group to continue rapid growth in production hours
• Re-imagine the production team and its structure to mirror and outpace our peers in the unscripted content space across the industry, as well as allowing this division to absorb production-related roles that have been corporately centralized
• Develop, refine and manage the structure and workflows for the entire production team, from line producers to production managers and all support positions
• Work with the other Factual Division heads to create efficient workflow from development to show production to program delivery
• Work with the corporate teams to provide accurate and reasonable budgets for productions
• Ensure each productions are produced efficiently, on time and on budget
• Represent the values of our factual team and the company by prioritizing a creative and inclusive culture where all ideas are welcome and where all points of view are recognized
• Find creative and innovative ways to approach financial challenges in the current marketplace
• Build our division with DEI goals front and center, be an owner of DEI progress
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
• At least 15 years' relevant experience within unscripted production
• At least 10 years of people leadership experience, leading production and corporate teams
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
• Have had success in delivering productions on time and on budget
• Be skilled in orchestrating major change while building buy in with all parties involved
• Create successful relationships with partners inside and outside the A+E community
• Possess detailed knowledge of the marketplace and access to decision-makers that could be potential partners
• Leads with creativity, does not accept status quo, and pushes the bold ideas that can change the divisions trajectory
• Top notch people leader who knows how to build and inspire diverse teams to perform well under pressure
Compensation
Annual Pay Range: $368,677 - $421,345
Annual Incentive Target: 35.00%
The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the
minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will
be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills,
competencies, location, and experience. A+E offers a competitive total compensation
