Work Locations: With the exception of some select roles that have in-office requirements, A+E Networks operates on a flexible model that allows for remote, hybrid or full time in office work (in certain locales).
Office locations include New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Stamford, CT.

Job Description

Responsibilities include: Serve on the Architecture, Cloud, and DevOps teams to design best-in-class software, building infrastructure and application on the cloud and provide solid DevOps framework for development and infrastructure teams. Work with various technology teams to gather requirements. Design, build, and deploy solutions for corporate projects. Streamline corporate operations and processes through the use of automation and scripting. Interact with technical leaders to develop innovative solutions that meet company and market needs with respect to availability, functionality, performance, reliability, repeatability, and scalability. Analyze business and technical requirements to determine system designs, potential risks and issues, and related costs for each project requests, all based on best practices. Research, prototype, and inform on emerging technologies and tooling to improve the operability and user experience. Write infrastructure as code scripts and build automation using Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Chef, and Ruby. Maintain and enhance the company's CI/CD pipeline and Azure DevOps. Build independent web-based tools, microservices and solutions in support of DevOps operations. Research, understand, and utilize various open-source technologies that can aid corporate DevOps strategy. Support and lead project management activities to ensure that resources, risk recognition, and planning stay aligned with solution goals. Work with development teams to ensure solutions are being built based on software and infrastructure architecture. Research and participate in selecting and implementing 3rd party software that can be used to streamline technology operations. Review various processes and workflows to make recommendations on process improvements as well as technology improvements. Participate in Architecture Review Board sessions to approve solutions and approve changes in architecture. Participate in service management processes including but not limited to: incident management, major problem reviews, change management, and continual improvement. Assign and monitor work of technical personnel, ensuring that development and deployment is done in the best possible way, and implements quality control. Display technical leadership and oversight of implementation and deployment planning, system integration, quality assurance, delivery, operations and sustainability of technical solutions. 40 hrs/wk. 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. $142,563 - $175,000.

YOUR STORY:

Master's degree in Computer Science or IT and 12 mo. experience as an IT Architect or related IT position. 12 mo. experience in: Cloud computing; Terraform and Chef; Software development in .Net/Java/Python; Powershell; ASP.NET & ADO.NET; CI/CD. Telecommuting permitted.
