Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

The position of Accounts Receivable + Accounts Payable Specialist will help implement new processes and initiatives for Vice TV's payments to Vice Media and third parties, as well as Vice TV's cash receipts from Vice Media. The position will also assist in the generation of invoices for Vice TV for amounts due from related parties and clients and the application of cash receipts. In addition, the position will prepare journal entries to record changes to Vice TV amounts due from / due to Vice Media, will review invoices received by Vice TV for amounts due to related parties and vendors, and will ensure timely payment and processing.

Collateral assignments may include but are not limited to: assisting in the preparation of monthly cash flow statements for Vice TV, handling Vice TV related party inquiries on invoice and payment statuses in a timely and professional matter, working with the AETN Vice TV related parties to prepare variance analyses against forecast and budget for cash receipts and payments, and preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and other schedules for review. Employee must function well under pressure in a fast-paced high volume environment while maintaining compliance with all corporate policies and guidelines.

Additional assignments maybe required as the company, position and individual growth materializes.

YOUR STORY:
• AS or BS degree in accounting or related discipline.
• 1 - 2 years of experience in accounting, including working with accounts payable and/or accounts receivable functions.
• Computerized accounting background and Microsoft Excel proficiency are required.
• Must possess strong oral and written communication / interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work independently, efficiently and meet deadlines under strict time constraints

Desired:
• Experience with corporate accounting systems such as SAP or Oracle is desirable.
