Job Description

WTEN-TV and WXXA-TV in Albany New York are participating in the New York State Broadcasters Association Internship program for 2024. Candidates will be chosen to complete a summer internship, up to 180 hours, in which they will be exposed to the full array of career opportunities available in the TV Broadcast industry.

This opportunity provides interns with the chance to witness and experience first-hand the operational procedures of a television station. After being exposed to the various departments in the station, the intern will have the opportunity to work with their manager to chose an area of interest for more in-depth training. These areas include: News, Engineering, Creative Services, Production and Sales.

Candidates must meet all of the following criteria:
• Current undergraduate student, at least 17 years of age
• Resident of New York State and/or attending a college in New York State
• Interested in a possible career in the broadcast industry
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. The Company will make reasonable physical accommodations to facilitate the ability to perform essential job functions.
