Job Description

WKRN-TV News 2 is looking for interns for our news department. This is an unpaid, supervised internship.

Internship Details:
• Each internship requires a minimum of 20 hours per week for 8 weeks
• Interns will be supervised and participate in a meaningful learning experience
• Upon completion of internship, the student will receive a written review by supervisor
• Interns are responsible for their own transportation

Requirements and Skills:
• All interns must be enrolled in college as Junior or Senior receiving course credit
• Knowledge of camera equipment and non-linear editing
• Skilled in Broadcast and AP style writing
• Flexible in performing a variety of assignments and tasks
• Be a collaborative worker with willingness to learn

Intern duties include but not limited to:
• Answer viewer calls
• Transcribe interviews
• Assist reporters, news, and digital producers
• Research stories for on-air and online
