Summer Virtual Intern - Residuals Analyst

The Job

Residuals team is responsible for Union negotiated talent payments for the reuse of an existing show or feature. This position is to assist in creating tools and processes to automate review of payment and other operational functions of the department.

The Daily
• Gather requirements from key stakeholders
• Update existing tools to maximize efficiency in processing
• Create new tools to analyze large data sets
• Analyze data using various tools (Excel, Tableau) to identify exceptions and anomalies; work with team to address them
• Present proposed solutions to management and team
• Train team, as needed, on new tools and processes

The Essentials
• Passion for entertainment industry and interest in Finance/Residuals
• Advanced technical skills (Excel, Tableau, other data visualization tools)
• Ability to work with large data sets and analyze and interpret data
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently and request support as needed

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Spring 2022 program dates are January 24th - April 15th; must be available for full program duration
• Part-time schedule (16-24 hours/week) designed to work around class schedule
• Company-issued computer provided for the duration of the internship program.
