The Job
The team is part of the functional, product management group within the WM Global Media Supply Chain. The team has a focus on (1) legacy WB content management apps and (2) tooling for mastering, archive, and localization services. The position will help with gathering requirements, writing development stories, and testing builds for applications in the portfolio. The intern will have opportunities to engage with business stakeholders, power users, developers, and other project teams.
The Daily
This role will provide the intern with a basic understanding of work within a Product Management team, including:
• Scheduling and administering requirements gathering sessions
• Writing user stories and grooming the development backlog
• Participating in daily scrum activities
• Testing software builds and working with developers to create reports and drafting training documentation
The Essentials
• Ability to take comprehensive meeting notes
• Write clear, jargon-free, technical prose that can be understood by a broad set of people across the business
• Curiosity about software products--how they're made, how they're supported and why they are critical for business growth
• Desire to develop certain basic technical skills that will augment business and analytical skills
Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Summer 2022 program dates are June 6th – August 12th (additional time frames are available for students in a university quarter system); must be available for full program duration
• Full-time schedule (40 hours/week)
