The Job

The HBO Max Growth Marketing team is charged with finding new subscribers, making sure we retain current ones, and keeping our content experience and features fresh and engaging for our millions of customers. Our creative strategies champion the quality of the full HBO Max library (as opposed to promoting just Max or HBO Originals). As the Assistant Video Editor, you will assist in driving the operational success for video-based growth marketing campaign creative of WarnerMedia's new streaming service, as well as the video production and execution of marketing campaigns promoting it.

The position will be focused on prep, delivery, QC and video editing, working hands-on and collaboratively with innovative Creative Directors, Designers, Project Managers, Content Strategists, and Copywriters to execute video-based creative concepts.

The Daily
• Responsible for QC, versioning and delivering final approved promo edits into various specs for different digital platforms.
• Prep new projects, source music and sound effects for editors.
• Assist in asset management and content selection of new and library titles for incoming projects with video editors and motion graphic designers.
• Opportunity to edit impactful and exciting tv and film promos for digital media channels.
• Collaborate with team members in creative brainstorms and pitch new video concepts.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and flawless asset deliveries to partners.

The Essentials
• Editing reel submission is encouraged when applying
• Basic proficiency in non-linear video editing (Adobe Premiere)
• Technical understanding of codecs, bitrates, audio mixing, frame rates, etc.
• Ability to multitask, manage time and meet deadlines
• A love of television, film, pop culture and social media, as well as a passion for staying on top of industry trends.
• Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels; exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Summer 2022 program dates are June 6th - August 12th (optional time frames are available for students in a university quarter system); must be available for full program duration
• Full-time schedule (40 hours/week) required
• Company-issued computer provided for the duration of the internship program.
